Box Score 2 ERIE, Pa. (May 14) – The Waynesburg University baseball team closed out its 2015 season on Thursday afternoon by dropping a pair of games to Penn State Behrend, 8-2 and 10-1 in the ECAC Division III Southwest series. The sweep gave the Lions the 2015 title.
In game one, a bases-loaded walk in the sixth inning by sophomore
Josh Hausler and a two-out RBI single in the seventh inning by junior
Matt Bensinger were the only two scoring plays for the Yellow Jackets. pitcher
Brian Resnik was tabbed with the loss for Waynesburg.
Penn State Behrend jumped out to an early lead in the second game, plating two runs in the second inning and two more in the fifth. In the bottom of the fifth, Hausler knocked in the Yellow Jackets' only run with an RBI single to center field, cutting the deficit to 4-1. Behrend responded with three runs in the sixth, two in the seventh, and one in the eighth to close out the victory. Sophomore

Waynesburg concludes 2015 with a 21-20-1 mark. The Lions end the spring at 28-12-1.
