CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky (Sept. 19) – The Waynesburg women's volleyball team lost two matches to Presidents' Athletic Conference opponents on Saturday afternoon. In the tri-match, hosted by Thomas More College, the Yellow Jackets fell in the opener to the host Saints, 3-0, and then went the distance against Westminster, before succumbing in five sets, 3-2.

In the latter match, Waynesburg won the first two sets before Westminster (3-10, 2-1) rallied to win the final three frames. The Titans scored a 22-25, 18-25, 25-21, 25-20, 15-8 comeback victory.
In set three, the squads were deadlocked at 14-14 before Westminster went on a 6-0 run. Waynesburg pulled back to within two point at 21-19 after a kill by Skinner, but the Titans earned four of the next six points to win the set. Waynesburg had another opportunity to put away Westminster in the fourth set, opening the frame with an 18-14 lead. However, the Titans rattled off 11 of the final 13 points, including a 9-0 run, to force the fifth and deciding set. Westminster never trailed in the final stanza.
For Waynesburg, Skinner (14 kills) and junior right side hitter
Shannon Morgan (11 kills) each registered double-figure winners against the Titans. Ayers set the offense up for most of the game and accumulated 37 sets. On defense, the Yellow Jackets were led by Dorazio (24 digs), Kourtney Skinny (15 digs) and Ayers (14 digs).
The women's volleyball team will next compete on Wednesday at Bethany College. Start time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
