NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Jan. 27) – Despite five players posting double-digit scoring nights, the Waynesburg University women's basketball team suffered an 83-80 road loss at Westminster on Wednesday.
Waynesburg held a 43-41 lead at halftime, but Westminster used a 17-6 run at the start of the fourth quarter to surge ahead by double digits. Waynesburg rallied to pull to within three points (83-80) with five seconds showing on the clock. The Yellow Jackets had a chance to force overtime in the final seconds of the contest, but a last-ditch three-point attempt missed its mark, allowing the Titans to claim victory.
Sophomore forward
Addy Knetzer registered her sixth double-double in her last seven contests by scoring 15 points and pulling down a game-high 17 rebounds. Senior forward
Heather Davis paced Waynesburg with 20 points, including six makes from beyond the three-point arc.

Lauren Blair went for 11 points and set game highs with eight assists and five steals. Junior guard

Kassidy O'Keefe chipped in 10 points each in the frustrating defeat.
Following the setback, Waynesburg dropped to 9-9 overall and 7-4 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC). Westminster improved to 2-16 overall and 1-9 in the PAC.
