WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Jan. 6) – The Waynesburg University men's basketball team dropped a 75-61 decision at the hands of Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) leader Saint Vincent on Wednesday night.
After trailing for the entirety of the first half, the home-standing Yellow Jackets (2-10, 2-3) began to trim away at their 36-28 halftime deficit. The Jackets completed their comeback when senior guard
B.J. Durham dropped in a layup with 12:12 left to play in the game that put his team up 45-43.
The home team stayed right with the defending conference champs until there was 9:19 showing on the game clock. With the Orange and Black clinging to a 53-52 lead, Saint Vincent (9-3, 5-0) exploded for a 21-2 run that gave the Bearcats a 73-55 lead with just over three minutes remaining in the game.

Waynesburg will be back in action on Saturday, when it travels across state lines for a conference matchup with Bethany College. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
