GREENVILLE, Pa. (Oct. 8) – The Waynesburg University women's soccer team traveled to Thiel on Saturday for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) showdown with the Tomcats. Despite leading in most of the major statistical categories, the Yellow Jackets suffered a frustrating a 1-0 loss.
Waynesburg (4-7-1, 1-2) peppered Thiel (2-7-1, 1-2) with 16 shots on the day, but managed to put just two on goal. The Tomcats found the back of the net in the 70
th minute by converting a Jacket turnover into a long range score from more than 20 yards away. It was the home teams' only shot of the second half.

Courtney Syfert took the loss in net after making a pair of saves. Junior forward
Nikki Davis attempted four shots on the day, two of which were on goal.
The Jackets will look to bounce back from the setback on Tuesday, Oct. 11, when they host Washington & Jefferson for their annual Kick Pancreatic Cancer game. Start time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
