LATROBE, Pa. (March 29) – The Waynesburg University women's lacrosse team traveled to Saint Vincent College on Tuesday for an Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) matchup. The Yellow Jackets fell by the final score of 17-7.
Waynesburg (0-5, 0-2) fell behind 10-3 at halftime, despite the efforts of junior
Holly Bachman, who recorded a hat trick in the opening 30 minutes of play. Bachman added three more goals in the second period and was joined in the scoring column by junior
Abbie Miller.
Bachman tied for the game lead with six goals. Senior
JoHanna Phillips played all 60 minutes in net and made nine saves on the day against Saint Vincent (3-6, 3-0).
Waynesburg returns to action on Thursday, March 31, when it hosts Franciscan for a non-ORLC match. Start time is scheduled for 5 p.m.
