WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Sept. 21) – The Waynesburg University women's volleyball team hosted Chatham and Geneva on Wednesday night for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) tri-match. The Yellow Jackets dropped a pair of 3-0 final scores to their conference opponents.
The first match of the night pitted the Jackets (0-13, 0-7) against Chatham (1-13, 1-4), with the visiting Cougars taking the contest 25-22, 25-20, 25-16. Waynesburg finished the evening by facing off with the Golden Tornadoes (9-5, 4-1). The GT's took the match 25-13, 25-12, 25-8.
Sophomore
Jordyn Wyllie led the Waynesburg attack with a respectable 14 kills over six sets. Sophomore
Sydni Ayers paced her team in both assists (5.17 assists per set) and digs (3.33 digs per set).
The Jackets are back in action on Friday, Sept. 23, when they host La Roche for a non-conference match. Start time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
NOTE: Geneva defeated Chatham 3-1 in the second match of the night.
