ANDERSON, Ind. (Sept. 3) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team ended its two-day run at the Anderson (Ind.) University Invitational on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets dropped a pair of 3-0 contests on the day.
The Jackets (0-4) suffered defeat at the hands of Mt. St. Joseph (2-2) and Manchester (1-3). MSJ took its contest by the set scores of 25-20, 25-6, 25-9, while the Spartans won 25-7, 25-15, 25-7.
Sophomore
Jordyn Wyllie paced the Waynesburg offense with five kills, while senior
Shannon Morgan chipped in four successful attacks. Sophomore
Sydni Ayers helped out the offensive effort with 14 assists, while freshman
Alyssa Proper paced the defense with eight digs.

Waynesburg is back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 7, when it travels to Grove City for its first Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match of the year. Start time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
