CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. (Jan. 11) – The Waynesburg University women's basketball team made the long road trip to Thomas More to face the Saints on Wednesday night. The Yellow Jackets fell 84-52 to the defending national champions.
Waynesburg (8-6, 4-3) trailed 20-12 after the first quarter, and saw that deficit grow to 43-27 at halftime. The Jackets' fortunes didn't improve in the second period, as Thomas More (14-0, 7-0) pulled away for the victory.

Haley Delaney led Waynesburg with 13 points, while senior guard
Katie Gehlmann chipped in 10 points to the night. Sophomore point guard
Monica Starre chipped in nine points and four assists, while junior forward
Addy Knetzer pulled down a game-high nine rebounds.
The Jackets return home on Saturday, Jan. 14, when they host Geneva. Tipoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
