WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 21) – The Waynesburg University women's soccer team hosted Grove City on Saturday at John F. Wiley Stadium. The Yellow Jackets dropped a 6-1 match to the Wolverines.
Grove City (12-4, 6-1) opened the scoring 1:57 into the contest and tallied the eventual game-winning goal 9:48 later. Waynesburg (6-8-1, 2-5) got on the board when freshman
Emily Hill converted a Wolverine turnover on their side of the field into her fourth goal of 2017.
The visiting team scored one more time before halftime to take a 3-1 lead into the locker room. The Wolverines sealed the win with three second-half goals.
Senior
Heather Fraser got the start in goal and made 10 saves on 16 shots on goal over 90 minutes of play.
Waynesburg plays its final home game of the year on Wednesday, Oct. 25. Start time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
