GROVE CITY, Pa. (Oct. 4) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team squared off with Grove City in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match on Wednesday night. The Yellow Jackets came out on the wrong end of a 3-0 match with the Wolverines.
The host team (8-11, 5-3) downed the Jackets (1-15, 0-9) by the set scores of 25-15, 25-13, 25-15. Juniors
Cassidy Guiser and
Jordyn Wyllie tied for the team lead with five kills each. Freshman
Rachel Lemay helped out with 10 assists, while sophomore
Alyssa Proper posted a match-high 15 digs.
The Jackets are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 7, when they head to Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, for a PAC tri-match. Waynesburg faces the host team from Geneva at 10 a.m., before squaring off with Westminster at 12 p.m.
