ABINGTON, Pa. (March 24) – The Waynesburg University women's lacrosse team opened a weekend road trip with a game at Penn State Abington. The Yellow Jackets fell by the final score of 20-4.
PSU Abington (3-0) took a 15-0 lead into halftime and expanded its advantage to 17-0 before senior
Shannon Morgan found the back of the net for Waynesburg (0-4). Morgan scored again before the game concluded and was joined in the scoring column by seniors
Holly Bachman and
Abbie Miller.
Freshman
Christina Bauer piled up 15 saves and tied for the game lead with five groundballs over 60 minutes in net.
The Jackets next travel to Bryn Athyn on Saturday. Start time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
