WAYNESBURG, Pa. (April 8) – The Waynesburg University women's lacrosse team hosted Transylvania, the top team in the Ohio River Lacrosse Conference, for a Saturday showdown. The Yellow Jackets fell by the final score of 20-3.
Waynesburg (0-9, 0-4) got its goals from the senior trio of
Holly Bachman,
Abbie Miller and
Shannon Morgan. Unfortunately, they weren't enough to upset Transylvania (9-1, 4-0), which ran out to a 14-0 halftime lead.
Freshman
Christina Bauer stood tall in net, despite being peppered with almost 40 shots on goal. The first-year net minder picked up 16 saves on the afternoon.
Waynesburg is back in action on Wednesday, April 12, when it travels to Saint Vincent for an ORLC match. Start time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
