LATROBE, Pa. (Sept. 25) – The Waynesburg University women's volleyball team traveled east take on Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Saint Vincent. After taking the first set, the Yellow Jackets fell to the Bearcats by the final of 3-1.
In the first set, Waynesburg (3-13, 0-5) fell early to Saint Vincent (7-7, 3-1) by the score of 9-3. After chipping away at the Bearcat lead, the Jackets didn't slow down and eventually moved ahead 24-18. The visitors snuffed out a late SVC rally to secure a 25-21 triumph in the opener.
However, the story was different in the sets to follow. In set number two, the score was tied after the first 10 points. From there, Saint Vincent went on an 8-1 run and took the set by the final of 25-17. In sets three and four, the Bearcats took the early lead and won by the final scores of 25-14 and 25-19, respectively.

Jordyn Wyllie led Waynesburg with 11 kills. Sophomore setter
Olivia Zuchelli totaled a match-high 38 assists and a team-high 13 digs. Senior libero
Cassidy Guiser contributed to the effort with 12 digs.
The Yellow Jackets complete their four-match road trip this Thursday against PAC opponent, Chatham. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.
