LATROBE, Pa. (Oct. 22) – The Waynesburg University women's soccer team traveled to Saint Vincent on Tuesday for a rare weekday afternoon match. The Yellow Jackets got just enough offense to back a strong effort in goal by freshman keeper Autumn Blair (Penn Hills, Pa. / Penn Hills) on their way to a 1-0 win over the Bearcats.
 
After the two teams played to a 0-0 halftime tie, senior Gina Bonura (Moon Township, Pa. / Moon) tallied an unassisted goal in the 76^th minute to  put the Yellow Jackets (3-10-2, 1-3-2) ahead of the host Cats (1-12, 1-4). Blair and her defensive cohorts did the rest to close out the victory.
 
Waynesburg's freshman keeper logged her second collegiate shutout with the victory. She stopped all six Bearcat shots on goal.
 
The Jackets outshot Saint Vincent 15-7 and tallied nine shots on goal to the Bearcats' half-dozen attempts on net. Waynesburg also held a sizeable seven-to-two advantage in corner kicks.
 
The Jackets are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 26, when they host Thiel. Start time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
