WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 29) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team welcomed Saint Vincent to the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse on Tuesday for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match. The Yellow Jackets fell in straight sets to the Bearcats.
Saint Vincent (13-17, 8-6) took the match by the set scores of 25-16, 25-19, 25-12.
Waynesburg (3-22, 0-14) was led by junior
Hannah Colvin (Hagerstown, Md. / Grace Academy), who put down a team-high nine kills. She also tied for the squad lead with 11 digs. Sophomore
Alyson Johnson (Raceland, Ky. / St. Joseph Central Catholic) tied Colvin with 11 digs and posted a Waynesburg's best three service aces.
Sophomore
Mallory Stopko (Freeport, Pa. / Freeport) also logged 11 digs. Senior
Alyssa Proper (Titusville, Pa. / Maplewood) tied for the match lead with 14 assists.
Waynesburg travels to Bethany on Thursday for its final road match of the season. The Yellow Jackets face the Bison for a 7 p.m. PAC contest.
