BETHANY, W.Va. (Oct. 31) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team traveled to Bethany on Thursday for its final road match of the season. The Yellow Jackets dropped the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest 3-0.
 
The host Bison (16-14, 11-4) took the match by the set scores of 25-15, 25-18 and 25-22.
 
The Waynesburg (2-23, 0-15) offense was paced by junior Hannah Colvin (Hagerstown, Md. / Grace Acadmy), who scored on a team-high eight kills. She also came up with a match-best three aces. Colvin and the rest of the Yellow Jacket offense was helped out by senior Alyssa Proper, (Maplewood, Pa. / Titusville) who posted a match-high 23 assists.
 
Defensively, the Jackets were led by sophomore Alyson Johnson (Raceland, Ky. / St. Joseph Central Catholic), who tied for the contest lead with 17 digs.
 
Waynesburg wraps up the 2019 season on Saturday, when it hosts Washington & Jefferson for senior day. Start time is set for 1 p.m.
