WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Feb. 28) – The Waynesburg University women's lacrosse team made its 2019 home debut at John F. Wiley Stadium on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets hosted Alma and fell 15-3.
The Scots (2-1) built a 10-0 halftime lead and extended that advantage to 12-0 5:37 into the second period. The Yellow Jackets (0-2) broke through for their first goal of the day with 21:39 showing on the clock thanks to the efforts of sophomore

Waynesburg made the score 12-2 1:24 later when junior
Jackie Adler (Allison Park, Pa. / Hampton) split the pipes for the first time this spring. Senior
Julie Sipes (Green Castle, Pa. / Homeschooled) logged her first assist of the season on the tally.
Alma responded with the next two goals, before Martini struck again off an assist from senior
Delaney Denniston (Wheeling, W.Va. / Wheeling Central Catholic). The Scots closed the scoring with the game's final goal that came with three minutes left in the contest.
First-year goal
Riley Yoder (Lancaster, Ohio / Fisher Catholic) started and played all 60 minutes in goal. She made a season-high nine saves on the day.
Waynesburg is back in action on Tuesday, March 12, when it travels to Muskingum. Start time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
