GREENVILLE, Pa. (Sept. 17) – The Waynesburg University women's tennis team traveled to Thiel on Wednesday for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match with the Tomcats. The Yellow Jackets dropped a 5-2 final score in a darkness-shortened contest.

Hayley Sweeney (Johnstown, Pa. / Richland) teamed up to score a decisive 8-2 win at third doubles.
Sophomore
Kyleigh Schmidt (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Baldwin) added the Jackets' second victory of the day, this one coming at first singles. She downed her opponent 6-3, 6-3. The number-five and number-six singles flights went unfinished because of darkness.
The Jackets are back in action on Friday, when they host Mount Aloysius. Start time is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
