Women's soccer plays to 0-0 draw at W&J

Yellow Jackets pick up first tie of the fall

WASHINGTON, Pa – (Oct.13) - The Waynesburg University women's soccer team traveled to W&J on Wednesday for a Presidents' Athletic Conference matchup. The Yellow Jackets and the Presidents battled for 110 minutes with neither squad able to find the back of the net in a game that ended in a 0-0 draw.

Waynesburg (5-6-1, 1-3-1) attempted at total of 19 shots, with 10 of those shots going on goal.

Freshman Haley Johnson (Somerset, Pa / Rockwood) and sophomore Kate James (Silver Springs, Md. / St.John's College High School) both had three shots on goal a-piece. Senior Megan Briski, freshman Ally Hall, sophomore Grace Ingram and Jacinda Devart all had one shot a piece on goal.

Junior goalkeeper Autumn Blair got the start in the net for the Jackets. She tallied up 110 minutes in goal and had three saves on the night.

The Jackets will be back in action on Saturday, Oct 16, when they welcome conference foe Westminster for a PAC contest. Start time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
