WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 16) – The Waynesburg University women's soccer team hosted Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC)-leading Westminster on a cool Saturday afternoon. The Titans scored early and never looked back as they scored a 4-0 victory.
Westminster (12-1-1, 6-0) tallied the eventual game winner late in the eighth minute and added its first insurance goal at the 26:21 mark. After taking its 2-0 lead into the halftime break, the Titans closed out the scoring with goals in the 62
nd and 71
st minutes.
Waynesburg (5-7-1, 1-4-1) junior goalkeeper
Autumn Blair (Penn Hills, Pa. / Penn Hills) piled up a season-high 19 saves on the afternoon while starting and playing all 90 minutes in net.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 20, when they travel to Saint Vincent for their final road game of the fall. Start time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
