BETHANY, W.Va. (Oct. 16) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team traveled to Bethany on Saturday for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup. The Yellow Jackets fell 3-0 to the Bison.
Bethany (10-8, 7-3) took the match by the set scores of 25-19, 25-20, 25-20.
The Waynesburg (7-15, 3-11) offense was paced by freshman
Makayla Osborn (Salem, Ohio / Heartland Christian School), who tallied a team-high nine kills. Freshmen
Hayley Dufala (Cleveland, Ohio / Valley Forge) and
Paige Cousley (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Chartiers Valley) combined for 21 assists to help out the Jacket attack.
Defensively, Waynesburg was paced by senior
Alyson Johnson (Raceland, Ky. / St. Joseph Central Catholic), who recorded a match-high 21 digs.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Thursday, Oct. 21, when they travel to Saint Vincent for a PAC match. Start time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
