WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 1) – The Waynesburg University women's tennis team hosted Saint Vincent on Friday for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup. The Yellow Jackets fell 8-1 to the visiting Bearcats.
 
Junior Hayley Sweeney (Johnstown, Pa. / Richland) won a roller coaster of a match at third singles. After winning the opening set 6-4, Sweeney fell 6-0 in set two. She pulled out the victory with a nail-biting 10-8 third set.
 
Waynesburg plays a fourth-straight home match on Tuesday, Oct. 5, against Geneva. Start time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
