PITTSBURGH, Pa. (Oct. 9) - The Waynesburg University volleyball team traveled to Pittsburgh on Saturday to face two of the top teams in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) for a league tri-match. The Yellow Jackets dropped 3-0 final scores to both Westminster and Chatham, who currently occupy the number-one and number-two spots in the standings.
Westminster (17-4, 9-0) defeated the Yellow Jackets (9-12, 3-8) by the set scores of 25-13, 25-21, 25-13. The Cougars (12-4, 7-2) picked up their sweep by the scores of 25-15, 25-10, 25-14.
Freshman
Paige Cousley (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Chartiers Valley) was solid on the offensive side of the things, as she totalled 32 assists over the two matches. Cousley posted a double-double against Chatham with 13 digs and 13 assists.Â
The Yellow Jackets will look to rebound from a rough weekend road trip when they host Geneva on Tuesday, Oct. 12. Start time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
