WAYNESBURG, Pa. (March 20) – The Waynesburg University women's soccer team played its first home game of the 2020-21 season on Saturday, when it welcomed Chatham to John F. Wiley Stadium. Unfortunately, the Yellow Jackets fell by the final score of 4-0.
The Cougars (2-0, 2-0) tallied the eventual game winner in the 13
th minutes of the first half. They added all three insurance goals in the second half.
Waynesburg (0-2, 0-2) sophomore goalkeeper
Autumn Blair (Penn Hills, Pa. / Penn Hills) started in net and tallied six saves over the first half, before being lifted prior to the second period. Sophomore
Faith Falick (Bridgeville, Pa. / South Fayette) worked the first 33:06 after halftime and logged a pair of saves. Junior
Kennedy Schuck (Marietta, Ohio / Marietta) worked the final 11:54 of the contest and stopped all three shots on goal.
Waynesburg returns to action on Saturday, March 27, when it hosts Bethany for another Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest. Start time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
