Women's soccer travels to Westminster

Jackets battle, but come up just short in 1-0 contest

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (April 6) – The Waynesburg University women's soccer team traveled to Westminster for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup. The Yellow Jackets played their typically gritty style, but couldn't produce enough offensive pressure to down the Titans, who earned a 1-0 win on their home pitch.

Westminster (4-1, 4-1) posted the day's only goal in the 28th minute. The Titans were able to tilt the field for most of the evening, outshooting Waynesburg (1-4, 1-4) 25-10. Westminster also bested the Orange and Black 15-4 in terms of shots on goal. One positive of the disparity in shots on goal was sophomore Faith Falick's (Bridgeville, Pa. / South Fayette) chance to shine in net. Falick answered the challenge by piling up a personal collegiate-best 14 saves on the day, which tied for the fourth-most in the PAC this season.

Waynesburg is back in action on Saturday, April 10, when it hosts Saint Vincent for another PAC contest. Start time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
