WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Sept. 14) – The Waynesburg University men's golf team hosted Geneva at the Greene County Country Club for a dual match on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets defeated the visiting Golden Tornadoes 337-345.
Waynesburg was led by senior
Luke Diel (Lower Burrell, Pa. / Mars), who carded a 75, which was the low score of the match. Junior
Cannon Hay (Berlin, Pa. / Berlin Brothersvalley) chipped in an 84, while graduate student
Dylan Nowakowski (Bridgeport, Ohio / Bridgeport Exempted Village) followed closely behind with an 85. The Jackets' scoring four was completed by senior
Jonathan Faber (Canonsburg, Pa. / Lakeview Christian Academy), who fired a 93.
Junior
Jake McCuen (Moon Township, Pa. / Moon) was also in action. He recorded a 100 for the afternoon.
The two teams also competed in a junior varsity contest. Junior

The Jackets are scheduled to return to competition on Saturday, Sept. 18, when they face Carlow in a dual match at the Youghiogheny Country Club in McKeesport, Pittsburgh.
