WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Sept. 15) – The Waynesburg University women's volleyball team opened Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) competition on Wednesday night by hosting Washington & Jefferson. The Yellow Jackets rolled to a 3-0 victory over the Presidents.
Waynesburg (5-3, 1-0) defeated their opposition by the set scores of 25-19, 25-13, 25-22. The sweep marked the Jackets' third-straight victory, their longest winning streak since 2013. Win number five already matches the program's top win total for a season since 2018. Wednesday also saw the Orange and Black win their conference opener for the first time since 2014.

Makayla Osborn (Salem, Ohio / Heartland Christian School) led the Waynesburg offense with a match-high 11 kills. Junior
Alexys Marsh (Panama, N.Y. / Panama Central) chipped in eight successful attacks to the winning effort. Osborn also recorded a match high with three aces.

Paige Cousley (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Chartiers Valley) helped out the offense with a contest-best 17 assists, while sophomore
Mickayla Baniaga (Kalihi, Hawaii / Kamehameha Schools Kapalama) chipped in 10 helpers.
Senior libero
Alyson Johnson (Raceland, Ky. / St. Joseph Central Catholic) paced Waynesburg's defensive efforts with a match-high 21 digs.
Waynesburg will look to keep its winning ways going at the two-day Allegheny Gator Invitational. The Yellow Jackets face Allegheny and Mount Aloysius Friday evening, before squaring off with La Roche on Saturday afternoon.
