WESTMINSTER, Md. (Jan. 30) The Waynesburg University wrestling team wrapped up its regular season schedule by competing in a tri-match hosted by McDaniel. The Yellow Jackets fell 41-12 to the host Green Terror and dropped a 53-0 final score to number-15 Averett.
 
Freshman Damion Finnegan (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona), freshman Seth Evans (Sharon, Pa. / Sharon) and junior Rocky McGeary (McDonald, Pa. / West Allegheny) earned wins for the Jackets (2-12) against McDaniel (6-6). Finnegan and Evans both won by decision, while McGeary locked up a first-period pin.
 
Waynesburg is back in action on Saturday, Feb. 12, when it hosts the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships at the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse. Start time is scheduled for 11 a.m.
