WASHINGTON, Pa. (Oct. 19) – The Waynesburg University women's volleyball team traveled to Washington & Jefferson Wednesday night for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup with the host Presidents. Waynesburg fell by the final score of 3-0.
W&J (11-8, 3-4) took the match by the set scores of 25-14, 25-19, 25-13.
Waynesburg (3-18, 1-6) was led by junior
Mickayla Baniaga (Kalihi, Hawaii / Kamehameha Schools Kapalama), who led the team with seven kills and finished third on the squad with nine digs. Senior
Kayla Stohon (Summerhill, Pa. / Forest Hills) chipped in six kills and a match-high three blocks, while junior
Trysten Smith (Senecaville, Ohio / Shenandoah) posted a Waynesburg-high nine assists and a contest-best two service aces.
The Jackets are back on the court on Saturday, Oct. 22, when they host Westminster. Start time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
