WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 5) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team hosted the Chatham Cougars Tuesday night at the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match. The Yellow Jackets fell by a 3-0 final score.
The visiting Cougars (9-7, 2-0) took the match by the set scores of 25-17, 25-14 and 25-11.
Sophomore
Emma Hyatt (Carmichaels, Pa. / Carmichaels) led the Jackets (2-15, 0-2) in kills (4) while fellow sophomore
Jordan Stein (Manor, Pa. / Norwin) paced all players with a match-high 29 digs.
Junior
Trysten Smith (Senecaville, Ohio / Shenandoah) just missed out on a double-double with a team-high eight assists and nine digs.
Waynesburg plays on the road at Thiel Thursday night in Greenville, Pennsylvania. The match begins at 7 p.m.
