NEW CONCORD, Ohio (Dec. 10) – The Waynesburg University wrestling team traveled to Muskingum on Saturday night for a tri-match with the host Muskies and Mt. St. Joseph. The Yellow Jackets fell 35-18 to MSJ and 39-18 to Muskingum.
 
Waynesburg (0-5) was led by the duo of junior Colby Morris (Waynesburg, Pa. / Waynesburg Central) and sophomore Seth Evans (Sharon, Pa. / Sharon), who both posted 2-0 records on the trip. Morris pinned Mt. St. Joseph's (2-0) Alex Hobbs in 3:44 and stuck Muskingum's (1-2) Isaac Sell in 2:47.
 
Evans picked up a pin of his own, which came at the 2:36 mark with Muskingum's Jordan Zigo. He added a forfeit victory against Mt. St. Joseph.
 
Freshman Daniel Collins (Graysville, Pa. / West Greene) also logged a win by forfeit, while sophomore Ayden Bishoff (Kingwood, W.Va. / Preston) logged a pin against Muskingum in 3:39.
 
The Jackets will compete one more time before the calendar turns over to 2023 when they travel to Hershey, Pennsylvania, to compete in the Chocolate Duals on Saturday, Jan. 7. Wrestling is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
