WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Dec. 20) – The Waynesburg University women's basketball team squeezed in one final game before Christmas when it hosted Hiram for a non-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets fell 74-39 to the visiting Terriers.
The first six minutes of Tuesday's contest were evenly played between the two squads, as the Yellow Jackets (1-9) held a slim 8-7 edge. Four different Waynesburg players scored over the opening run of the contest. Senior

Avery Robinson (Ravenna, Ohio / Ravenna) all dropped in field goals.
Robinson's basket gave the home team its final lead of the day, as Hiram (5-4) ended the first quarter on a 13-2 run to take a 20-10 lead into the second period. The Terriers matched their first quarter output, outscoring Waynesburg 20-10 in the second to take a 40-20 advantage into the halftime break.
The visitors rolled onto the victory over the final 20 minutes.
Waynesburg was led by Robinson, who tallied a team-high 12 points. Seto pulled down a squad-high nine rebounds.
The Jackets play one more game before the end of the 2022 calendar year, when they host Westminster on Friday, Dec. 30, for a PAC showdown. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
