WAYNESBURG, Pa. (April 9) – The Waynesburg University women's lacrosse team welcomed NCAA Division II opponent West Virginia Wesleyan to John F. Wiley Stadium for senior night on Saturday. Both of the night's senior honorees put together solid numbers, but it wasn't enough, as the Bobcats earned a 21-5 win.
Senior
Grace Zablosky (Finksburg, Md. / Carroll Christian School) earned probably the biggest reaction from the Wiley crowd on the evening as she not only scored her first collegiate goal, but added a second tally to her night's work. She also gathered three ground balls and caused a turnover.
Waynesburg's (0-8) other senior honoree,
Camryn Dyer (Church Hill, Md. / Queens Anne County) posted a pair of ground balls for the Orange and Black.
Junior
Eve O'Sullivan (Latrobe, Pa. / Greater Latrobe) tied Zablosky with two goals, while junior
Tori Meiklejohn (Boonsboro, Md. / Boonsboro) also split the pipes on the night. Junior
Tara Wildner (Johnstown, Pa. / Richland) paced Waynesburg's defensive efforts with three caused turnovers.
Freshman
Anna Bradley (Bridgeville, Pa. / South Fayette) played all 60 minutes in net and totaled eight saves.
Waynesburg is off until Thursday, April 15, when it travels to Bethany for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match. Start time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
