WAYNESBURG, Pa. (April 21) – The Waynesburg University men's tennis team hosted Westminster on Thursday for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match. The Yellow Jackets fell by the final score of 8-1.
Sophomore
Ethan Lown (Lebanon, Pa. / Elizabethtown) earned a hard-fought three-set victory at third singles. After gutting out a 7-5 victory in set one, Lown dropped set two 6-2 to his opponent from Westminster (9-4, 4-2). The contest was decided in set three, which lasted all the way until a 13-11 final score.

Joey English (Smithfield, Pa. / Homeschooled) battled the opposition throughout an 8-6 thriller.
The Jackets are scheduled to be back on the courts tomorrow, when they host Geneva for another conference tilt. Start time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
