Women's soccer plays to 0-0 tie at Saint Vincent

Schuck shines in goal against Bearcats

LATROBE, Pa. (Sept. 27) – The Waynesburg University women's soccer team traveled to Saint Vincent on Tuesday for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup with the Bearcats. The Yellow Jackets withstood a 21-shot barrage from the home team and wound up in a scoreless tie.

Senior goalkeeper Kennedy Schuck (Marietta, Ohio / Marietta) stole the show with her first complete-game shutout as a collegiate player. Waynesburg (2-4-3, 0-1-2) needed every one of Schuck's seven saves to hold on for the tie.

Saint Vincent (4-3-2, 0-1-2) held a 21-6 advantage in total shots. Sophomore Brooklyn Loveland (New Cumberland, W.Va. / Oak Glen) and junior Madey Hill (Hagerstown, Md. / North Hagerstown) both put shots on goal for the Jackets.

Waynesburg is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 1, when it travels to Thiel for another PAC contest. Start time is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
