SANDUSKY, Ohio (Sept. 3) – The Waynesburg University women's volleyball team wrapped up its two-day run at the massive Great Lakes Crossover Tournament, which was hosted by Heidelberg at the Cedar Point Sports Complex. The Yellow Jackets went 0-4, but showed progress over its stay.
The Jackets fell 3-0 to Manchester in their first match of the event and followed that up with a 3-1 setback against Bluffton Friday night. On Saturday, Waynesburg dropped a 3-1 final score to Saint Mary's (Indiana), before turning in its top showing of the 48-hour period. The Jackets came back from a 2-1 deficit to win set four against Adrian on Saturday afternoon and set up a winner-take-all scenario. Unfortunately, the Bulldogs edged the Orange and Black 15-8 to take the match 3-2.

Waynesburg is back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 7, when it makes a road trip to Oberlin for a 7 p.m. contest.
