WASHINGTON, Pa. (Jan. 7) - The Waynesburg University women's basketball team traveled to Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC)-leading Washington & Jefferson on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets fell 79-41.
The Presidents (13-1, 9-0) opened the game with an 8-0 run and built a 22-8 lead heading into the second quarter. That advantage grew to 40-13 at halftime. W&J didn't let up after the break, as the third quarter ended with Waynesburg (2-12, 2-7) in a 68-27 hole.Â

Tori Wesolowski (Canonsburg, Pa. / Canon-McMillan) led Waynesburg with a team-high 12 points on six-of-12 shooting. Senior guard
Anika Dansby (Massilon, Ohio / Washington) handed out a squad-best five assists, while freshman
Clara-Paige Miller (Waynesburg, Pa. / Waynesburg Central) grabbed a Jacket-high nine rebounds.Â
Waynesburg is back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 11, when it hosts Chatham for another PAC contest. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
