WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Sept. 30) – The Waynesburg University women's soccer team celebrated senior day on a beautiful, sunny Saturday at John F. Wiley Stadium. The Yellow Jackets honored their six seniors with an 11-0 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) win over Thiel.
With the victory, Waynesburg (5-3-1, 3-0-1) moved into first place in the PAC standings.
The eventual game winner was scored by freshman
Julz Mohrbacher (Freedom, Pa. / Freedom), who took a pass from senior
Kate James (Silver Spring, Md. / St. John's College H.S.) and found the back of the net. James went on to score the next two for the home team, which led 3-0 after 12:52 of play.
Waynesburg tallied two more before halftime to take a 4-0 advantage heading into the break.
The Jackets racked up seven goals in the second period, while preserving their second shutout of the season.

The Jackets will look to stay undefeated in conference play on Wednesday, Oct. 4, with a road trip to Washington & Jefferson. Start time is scheduled for 8 p.m.
