MEADVILLE, Pa. (Dec. 9) – The Waynesburg University women's basketball team traveled to Allegheny on Saturday for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) meeting. It was a long trip home for the Yellow Jackets, who fell 90-53.
Waynesburg (0-9, 0-6) never led on the day. Allegheny (3-7, 3-3) built a 22-10 advantage after one quarter and never looked back on its way to its most recent victory.
One bright spot for the Jackets was freshman
Julz Mohrbacher (Freedom, Pa. / Freedom), who logged her first collegiate double-double on 10 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Senior
Anika Dansby (Massilon, Ohio / Washington) added 10 points as the Jackets' only other double-digit scorer.
Waynesburg heads outside of PAC play on Monday, Dec. 18, with a road trip to Penn State Fayette. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
