LATROBE, Pa. (April 13) – The Waynesburg University men's tennis team traveled to Saint Vincent on Thursday for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match against Saint Vincent. The Yellow Jackets fell 7-2 to the host squad.
Waynesburg (0-8, 0-5) was led by junior
Ethan Lown (Lebanon, Pa. / Elizabethtown), who was involved in both Yellow Jacket victories. He teamed with senior
Michael Saliba (New Kensington, Pa. / Valley) to post an 8-4 win at first doubles and added a 2-6, 7-6 (6-3), 1-0 (6-4) victory at the number-one singles slot.
Saliba nearly logged a second victory of his own, but came up short in a 6-4, 3-6, 0-1 (7-10) battle in the third flight.
The Yellow Jackets return to the court tomorrow with a road PAC match at Washington & Jefferson. Start time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
