GREENVILLE, Pa. (May 8) – The Waynesburg University baseball team wrapped up its 2023 season on a very positive note by taking down the 11^th-ranked team in the country Saturday. A big reason for the victory was the mound efforts of freshman Ethan Erhard (Greensburg, Pa. / Hempfield). For his work on the bump, Erhard was honored as the final Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Rookie of the Week.
 
Erhard logged a nine-inning complete game that included three earned runs on six hits, five walks and four strikeouts, as the Yellow Jackets knocked off Denison 9-4 on the Big Red's home field. He held Denison scoreless through five innings and also posted zeroes in the seventh and eighth frames. The win allowed Erhard to finish 4-3 on the mound this spring.
