BETHANY, W.Va. (Sept. 23) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team traveled to Bethany on Saturday for a non-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match with the Bison. The Yellow Jackets dropped the contest by a 3-0 final score.
Waynesburg (5-7) fell by the set scores of 25-16, 25-22, 25-15 and was led by juniors
Madisen Dayton (Ridgeley, W.Va. / Calvary Christian) and
Emma Hyatt (Carmichaels, Pa. / Carmichaels), who both posted a team-high four kills.
Senior
Trysten Smith (Senecaville, Ohio / Shenandoah) helped out the offense with a squad-best eight assists. Junior
Jordan Stein (Manor, Pa. / Norwin) posted a team-best 20 digs, while Hyatt did her part defensively with four blocks.
Waynesburg is back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 27, when it plays host to Saint Vincent. Start time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
