WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Sept. 26) – The Waynesburg University men's golf team hosted La Roche at the Greene County Country Club on Tuesday for a dual match. The Yellow Jackets bested the Redhawks 330-349 in the team scoring and boasted the top two individual performers of the day.
 
Freshman Michael Clark (Andover, Ohio / Pymatuning Valley) carded the low score of the day with a 79. He was followed by sophomore Matthew Karpeal (Smithton, Pa. / Albert Gallatin), who tallied a second-place 81, while sophomore Matt Ankrom (Waynesburg, Pa. / Waynesburg Central) finished closely behind in fourth place with an 84.
 
The Jackets' scoring four was completed by sophomore Hudson Pincavitch (Waynesburg, Pa. / Waynesburg Central), who posted a fifth-place 86. Senior Tyler Townsend (Normal, Ill. / Bloomfield) carded an 88.
 
Waynesburg is scheduled to be back on the course tomorrow, when it competes in the Saint Vincent College Invitational, which is being contested at Latrobe Country Club. Tee time is scheduled for 11 a.m.
