Trafford, Pa. (Jan.22) – Waynesburg University's multi-sport standout Julz Mohrbacher (Freedom, Pa. / Freedom) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Basketball Newcomer of the Week for her performances in last week's contests.

Mohrbacher averaged 16 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and two blocks, as the Yellow Jackets went 1-1 against PAC opponents last week. In total, Mohrbacher was 10-of-13 (76.9%) from the field and 12-of-16 (75%) at the line.

In the Jackets' loss to Westminster on Wednesday, Mohrbacher added to her stellar freshman campaign with game highs in points (18) and rebounds (11) in route to her second collegiate double-double. She also tied for the game high with three steals. 

In Waynesburg's 70-63 win over Bethany on Saturday afternoon, Mohrbacher notched 14 points, four rebounds, four assists and a game-high-tying two blocks.

Mohrbacher is seventh in the PAC in rebounds per game (8.1) and tied for seventh in the conference in blocks per game (1.1).
