WAYNESBURG, Pa. (October 26) – The Waynesburg University Women's Soccer team clinched a berth in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Tournament with a 5-2 victory over Geneva on Senior Day at John F. Wiley Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Waynesburg secures a postseason bids for the third time in the last four seasons as the Jackets rose to 8-4-3 and 4-3-2 in league play. Geneva falls to 2-13, 1-8 PAC.
The Jackets honored seniors
Brooklyn Loveland (New Cumberland, W. Va. / Oak Glen),
Sutton Clark (Ashburn, Va. / Stone Bridge) and Demaree (Willow Grove, Pa. / Upper Dublin) Livingston prior to the contest. All three seniors each scored or had an assist in the victory.
Livingston put Waynesburg ahead 1-0 in the game's 15th minute. Following a through ball by
Waverly Lorne (New Providence, N.J. / Governor Livingston), Livingston had a breakaway chance against the Geneva keeper and finished in the lower right corner.

Amanda Pepe (Mantua, N.J. / Gloucester County Institute of Technology) in the 25th minute with a cross to the left post and Pepe poked in her eighth tally of her freshman campaign. The Jackets carried a 2-0 lead into the half.
The Jackets had a pair of goals break the goal line on set pieces early in the second half. Lorne had a header ruled a goal off a corner kick by Loveland in the 50th minute.
Reagan Mittendorf (Bluffton, Ohio / Bluffton) knocked a free kick off the woodwork and it bounced into the goal to give the Jackets a 4-0 lead in the 56th.
After a Geneva goal, Clark dodged a defender in the penalty area, worked to her left and scored in the 71st. The Golden Tornadoes tacked on a final tally in the 86th as the Jackets cruised to the 5-2 win and guaranteed a spot in the PAC postseason.
Geneva had an 18-13 edge in shots (11-9 SOG) while Waynesburg had a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Lorne had a four-point day with a goal and two assists.
Alexus Greenlief (Chester, W. Va. / Oak Glen) made nine saves in the victory.
Waynesburg concludes its regular season slate at Grove City on Wednesday.
