TRAFFORD, Pa. (March 4) -- Senior baseball infielder
Todd Burner (Parkersburg, W.Va. / Parkersburg South) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Hitter of the Week as he led the Jackets to their first 3-0 start since 2018.
Burner hit .500 (6-for-12) as Waynesburg notched a pair of wins over La Roche and a victory over Thomas. In the season opener with La Roche, he went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored as the Jackets notched a 6-5 walk-off win on a
Mike Bell single.
In game two of the twin bill, Burner had a walk-off single to complete Waynesburg's 4-3 come-from-behind win. He went a perfect 4-for-4 at the dish with a run scored and an RBI in the win.
