WAYNESBURG, Pa. (April 13) –
Tyler Rollinson (Scottdale, Pa. / Southmoreland) sank a putt on the final hole of the day to secure a 4-2 match play victory for the Waynesburg University men's golf team over Bethany at the Greene County Country Club on Saturday afternoon.
The Jackets and Bison contested six head-to-head matchups on the day.
Rollinson and Matt Karpeal (Smithfield, Pa. / Albert Gallatin) went the distance in their matches with Rollinson earning a 1-up victory. Karpeal was edged on the final hole by Bethany's Jude Smith.
Justin Clevenger and
Gage Fuller (Elrama, Pa. / Ringgold) played in the same group and cruised to 8 and 6 and 7 and 6 wins.
Nate Barnhart (Washington, Pa. / Trinity) notched a 7 and 5 triumph while playing alongside Rollinson.
Waynesburg concludes its season at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Spring Championships next weekend at the Mill Creek Golf Club in Ohio.
