PITTSBURGH, Pa. (April 15) – The Waynesburg University women's lacrosse team concluded a stretch of eight consecutive road games with a 21-1 defeat at Chatham on Monday evening.
The Jackets fall to 1-12 overall and 0-5 in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play. Chatham rises to 6-6, 3-2 PAC.
Waverly Lorne (New Providence, N.J. / Governor Livingston) scored the first goal of the contest just 34 seconds into the action. Chatham triggered a running clock in the second quarter and cruised to the conference victory.
Lorne led Waynesburg with six shots, seven draw controls and four caused turnovers.
Diana Gurecka (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Seton LaSalle) made seven saves and had two ground balls on the night.
The Jackets host Franciscan at John F. Wiley Stadium on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
