GROVE CITY, Pa. (April 17) – The Waynesburg University men's tennis team entered the final week of the regular season with an 8-1 defeat at Grove City.
The Jackets fall to 1-11 on the year and 0-7 in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action. Grove City rises to 10-6, 5-1 PAC.
Ethan Lown (Lebanon, Pa. / Elizabethtown) notched the lone point of the day for Waynesburg with a 6-4, 6-0 triumph at No. 1 singles.
Shane Hughes at fifth singles and
Thomas Torcaso at sixth singles both took two games in a pair of 6-1, 6-1 defeats.
Grove City only dropped one game on its way to sweeping the doubles points.
Waynesburg concludes its season Friday at Thiel.
